Positive Mojo floats our boat …
Whereas low Mojo rocks the boat …
Mojo impacts on self and on others in our team
It’s a driver of team engagement
And an outcome of team engagement
Mojo influences team and organisational culture
And is impacted by culture
Its a driver of of productivity — personally and team-wise
When our Mojo is pumped, we are in top gear and go with the flow
When Mojo is flat, we are at risk of getting in the Grip
Stressed, Anxious, Low Mood
Over reacting. Misinterpreting.
In our experience at ISL, based on 22 years of monitoring and observing teams: low mojo is mostly derived from outside of work personal factors.
It’s normal for our batteries to go a tad flat once in a while. Especially if we have a lot going on in our lives.
Here’s some suggestions about how to recharge our Mojo:
1. Regular exercise and sunshine ideally in nature
2. Barefoot on the grass or on the sand
3. #WIMHOF breathing
4. Watch or listen to humour
5. Enjoy the company of good friends and loving pets
5. Update our gratitude journal each morning
6. Listen to calming and uplifting music and / or meditations
7. Share thoughts and feelings with a trusted independent friend who is a good listener and an effective sounding board
8. Take regular breaks and if necessary a long weekend with nature when out-of-sorts
9. Turn off social media
10. Take a break from watching and listening to the news
Mojo is the key to health, happiness, and productivity.
Reach out if you would like to discuss your team’s Mojo, engagement or culture. Always happy to be a sounding board.
Mojo matters and is the key to team and organisation culture and performance.
Onwards and Upwards
